GAZA, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), Israeli naval forces arrested four Palestinian fishermen off the coast of the Gaza Strip on Thursday, in yet another violation of the ceasefire agreement.
Zakaria Bakr, head of the Fishermen Committees in Gaza, reported that Israeli naval vessels intercepted the fishermen’s boats while they were working in Gaza’s waters and detained four of them: Hamza Abdulwahab Katoo’, Abdel Latif Zaki Taroush, Rushdi Abdullah Al-Attar, and Arafat Malik Taroush along with their fishing boats.
According to Bakr, other fishermen managed to recover one of the detained boats, while the naval forces prevented the return of another.
The Israeli navy has repeatedly targeted Palestinian fishermen and their boats and arrested many of them as part of its repeated assaults in the Gaza Strip.
These violations have continued despite the ceasefire that began on October 10, during which more than 20 fishermen have been arrested so far.
