BEIRUT (Palestine Foundation Information Center) The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) continued, on Tuesday, to blow up additional homes in southern Lebanon and to prevent the return of displaced people to their towns and villages.
The National News Agency said that “the enemy forces continue to blow up the remaining homes in Kfarkila village and to bulldoze several side roads and demolish homes in Naqoura village.”
The official Lebanese News Agency indicated that an Israeli drone was observed flying at a low altitude in the skies of Tyre, and in the skies of the southern suburbs of Beirut.
The Lebanese source also said that Israeli warplanes were seen flying at medium altitude over Rashaya and the Western Bekaa in southern Lebanon.
Israeli artillery shelling was also reported in Kfar Shuba, Halta and Shebaa villages, while Israeli drones were seen flying heavily in the skies of Hasbaya and Arqoub village.
On the other hand, the Israeli army announced in a brief statement that “explosions may be heard in the Upper Galilee region in the next few hours as a result of routine activity in southern Lebanon.”
Dozens of Israeli violations have been reported since the deal came into force last month in the hope of ending 14 months of Israeli offensive on Lebanon.
Under the terms of the cease-fire, Israel is to withdraw its forces south of the Blue Line de facto border in a phased manner while the Lebanese army deploys its forces in southern Lebanon within a maximum of 60 days.
Over 4,000 people have been killed and more than 16,500 injured in Israeli attacks in Lebanon and over 1 million others have been displaced since October 2023, according to Lebanese health authorities.
