Israel commits two massacres in central and southern Gaza

GAZA   (Palestine Foundation Information Center) The Israeli occupation forces committed two new massacres against Palestinian civilians in the Gaza Strip on Sunday evening, after warplanes bombed a café in central Gaza and a residential home in the south, resulting in several martyrs and dozens of injuries.

Medical and local sources confirmed that several civilians were martyred and many others wounded when occupation forces bombed the Saftawi Café on Salah al-Din Street, near the entrance of the Nuseirat and Bureij refugee camps in central Gaza.

Local sources identified some of the martyrs of the Saftawi Café massacre as: Ahmad al-Saafin, Muhammad Nahid al-Jiddi, Hashem Hisham al-Saftawi, and Ibrahim Washah.

Eyewitnesses reported that Israeli warplanes also targeted a residential house belonging to the Kawari family in the Jorat al-Lout area, south of Khan Yunis, in southern Gaza.

It was noted that three people, including a woman, were killed, and several civilians were injured when the Israeli warplanes bombed the Kawari family home in Jorat al-Lout.

A statement for Al-Awda Hospital in Nuseirat stated: “The hospital received three martyrs and 13 injuries as a result of the Israeli bombing of a café on Salah al-Din Street near the entrance of Bureij in central Gaza.”

Medical sources also reported that two martyrs arrived at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah, central Gaza.

The Palestinian Civil Defense confirmed that its teams rushed to the site where Israeli warplanes had bombed the Kawari family home in Jorat al-Lout.

Since midnight, more than 34 Palestinians have been martyred in various attacks across the Gaza Strip.

Earlier today, Sunday, the Palestinian Ministry of Health said that Gaza’s hospitals had received 51 martyrs over the past 24 hours, including 11 whose bodies were retrieved from the rubble, alongside 115 injuries.

Since the resumption of the Israeli genocide campaign on 18 March, the death toll has reached 2,151 martyrs while 5,598 others were injured. Meanwhile, the overall tally of the ongoing Israeli military aggression on Gaza Strip since 7 October 2023 has risen to 52,243 martyrs and 117,639 injured.
