GAZA(Palestine Foundation Information Center)Israel cut off telecommunications services in most neighborhoods located within the northern Gaza Strip on Sunday evening. Various areas of the Gaza Strip, however, were also subjected to an interruption of telecommunications and Internet services for long hours.
According to local media sources, telecommunications and Internet services were suddenly shut down. Meanwhile, Israeli brutal bombardment continued to target several neighborhoods.
On Sunday morning, telecommunications and Internet services were gradually returning to work in the Gaza Strip after being cut off completely on Friday evening, amid intense and unprecedented air strikes on the besieged enclave.
Palestinian and international human rights groups stated that cutting off communications and the Internet after killing so many journalists and intimidating the rest of them by killing their families was a prelude to committing additional horrific atrocities aimed at concealing these crimes from the world.
The disruption of communications has also caused complete paralysis in the capabilities of the health system, ambulances, and medical teams.
The Palestinian Ministry of Telecommunications revealed on Friday that Israeli occupation forces cut off telecommunications and Internet services through its control over the cables from outside of the Gaza Strip.
