Israeli occupation forces demolished two Palestinian houses this morning, northwest of the southern occupied West Bank city of Bethlehem, under the pretext of building without a permit.
Local sources reported that Israeli occupation forces escorted bulldozers to Beit Jala and al-Walaja villages and demolished two Palestinian houses under the pretext of building without a permit.
In Beit Jala, the occupation forces demolished a one-story Palestinian house that was under construction and owned by a resident even though the owner had obtained a decision from an Israeli occupation court not to stop the construction of his house.
In al-Walaja village, large numbers of Israeli soldiers, accompanied by a military bulldozer, stormed the Ein Jweiza area, northeast of al-Walaja, and demolished a 100-square-meter house belonging to a resident.
Ein Jweiza has been targeted for years for Israeli settlement projects and many Palestinian-owned houses were either demolished or notified of demolition or stop of work on them.
