Israel Demolishes Buildings, Conducts Airstrikes in Eastern Gaza

GAZA, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), Israeli occupation forces continued their violations of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza on Sunday, launching attacks in the southern and central parts of the Strip. A child was injured after Israeli troops pushed beyond their deployment zone in southern Khan Yunis.

A medical source reported that a child was taken to the Baptist Hospital in central Gaza City with injuries sustained from Israeli gunfire in the Al-Tuffah neighborhood in eastern Gaza City.

Local sources indicated that the area where the child was injured had previously seen an Israeli withdrawal under the first phase of the ceasefire agreement.

Meanwhile, Israeli forces demolished buildings and opened fire in areas where they remain stationed east of Khan Yunis in southern Gaza.

Local media also reported that Israeli military vehicles fired their weapons north of Rafah City in the south of the Gaza Strip.

Early Sunday morning, Israeli aircraft carried out an airstrike targeting the eastern Maghazi refugee camp in central Gaza, with no casualties reported at the time of writing.

At the same time, Gaza’s Ministry of Health announced that the death toll from Israel’s ongoing assault since October 7, 2023, has risen to 70,360, the majority of whom are children and women.

The ministry added that 171,047 people have been injured so far, and many victims remain trapped under rubble, unreachable by emergency and rescue teams.

In the last 24 hours alone, 6 people were killed and 17 others were injured, raising the total number of those killed since the ceasefire agreement on October 10, 2023, to 373 martyrs and 970 injured, with 624 bodies recovered.

On Saturday, Israeli forces reportedly expanded their operations outside their deployment areas in eastern Khan Yunis, setting up new yellow markers, according to local sources.
