Israeli Forces Enter Quneitra, Syria

DAMASCUS, (The Palestine Foundation Pakistan)

The Israeli army carried out on Wednesday an incursion into Quneitra province in southwestern Syria, setting up a temporary checkpoint before withdrawing as part of the ongoing Israeli violations of Syrian sovereignty.

According to Syria’s official news agency (SANA), an Israeli force composed of three vehicles entered the area between the villages of Al-Ajraf and Umm Batna in northern rural Quneitra.

The report said the Israeli force set up a checkpoint before pulling back from the area.

Earlier on Monday, Israeli vehicles made two separate incursions into Quneitra’s countryside, setting up one checkpoint near a UNDOF (United Nations Disengagement Observer Force) position along the road between the village of Ruwayhina, the town of Beer Ajam, and the village of Zubaydah. The second checkpoint was placed at the Kabas intersection in central Breiqa village, before also withdrawing.

Israeli military vehicles have been entering the Quneitra countryside almost daily, in a systematic breach of the 1974 Disengagement Agreement.

There have been no official statements from Damascus regarding these incursions, but Syria regularly condemns Israel’s repeated violations of its sovereignty and reaffirms its commitment to the 1974 agreement, which Tel Aviv declared null after the fall of the Assad regime in late 2024.

In November 2025, there were 46 documented Israeli violations in rural Quneitra, including 45 military and security incursions and one incident of artillery shelling.
