Israeli Raids and Arrests Sweep Multiple West Bank Towns

WEST BANK, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), Several towns and villages across the occupied West Bank were subjected to a wide-ranging arrest campaign by Israeli occupation forces (IOF) in the early hours of Friday. The campaign included arrests, vandalism of homes, and physical assaults on residents.

According to local sources in Bethlehem, an Israeli military unit stormed the Khallat al-Louz area southeast of the city, arresting a young man after violently raiding and searching his home.

The campaign extended to Jenin Governorate, where the IOF carried out a large-scale incursion into the town of Barta’a in the northwest. The raid was accompanied by assaults on civilians, abuse of several individuals, and a wave of arrests targeting numerous homes.

In Salfit, the IOF raided a house in the Wadi al-Matwi area, scoured it, and then withdrew without any arrests reported.

In the Jalazone refugee camp north of Ramallah, Israeli forces launched a large-scale arrest campaign among residents, amid heavy military presence inside and around the camp.

In al-Khalil, Israeli troops stormed the Ain Sarah area, searched homes, and assaulted some residents, causing minor injuries.

On Thursday evening, a 17-year-old Palestinian boy was shot by IOF during confrontations in the town of Tuqu, southeast of Bethlehem.

According to the Palestinian Red Crescent, the teenager suffered gunshot wounds to his lower limbs. He received first aid on-site before being rushed to the hospital for further treatment.

The violent raids come amid ongoing Israeli aggression in the West Bank, paralleled by continuous atrocities in the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023. Supported by the United States and European nations, the Israeli campaign has included killings, starvation, destruction, mass displacement, and widespread arrests.
