GAZA, (The Palestine Foundation Pakistan)
The Israeli occupation forces released five Palestinian detainees from the Gaza Strip on Thursday, after months of imprisonment and systematic torture that fell far below minimum humanitarian standards.
According to the Asra Media Office, the five released prisoners were transferred to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Gaza by Red Cross teams to receive necessary medical care following their release.
Local sources confirmed that among those released was nurse Tasneem Al-Homs, the daughter of Dr. Marwan Al-Homs, Director General of Field Hospitals.
Nurse Al-Homs had been abducted over two months ago by militias recruited and armed by the Israeli military to incite chaos in Gaza, loot aid, and target resistance members.
Dr. Marwan Al-Homs himself was previously kidnapped by local militias on July 21, 2025, during a visit to the Red Cross Hospital in western Khan Yunis.
Earlier, the Asra Media Office published a list of 1,468 names of detainees from Gaza who were arrested after October 7, 2023, based on an information exchange between the Palestinian resistance and Israeli forces.
