OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (The Palestine Information Centre) The Israeli authorities decided to demolish the family home of the imprisoned Jerusalemite child, Muhammad Zalbani, for allegedly being involved in an anti-occupation attack at the Shuafat checkpoint in Occupied Jerusalem on February 13.
Israeli military sources affirmed that the commander of the so-called home front signed a demolition order against the family house of the child Muhammad Zalbani, 13, in the Shuafat refugee camp.
According to Israeli claims, Zalbani tried to stab an Israeli soldier before another soldier randomly opened fire, killing his colleague.
Zalbani was detained while suffering from moderate wounds.
Demolishing the homes of relatives of Palestinians who are allegedly involved in anti-occupation attacks is prohibited collective punishment, and is one of the most extreme measures used by Israel.
Since the start of the year, Israel has demolished 13 family homes of Palestinian martyrs or prisoners involved in shooting or stabbing attacks.
