A man was killed and 11 other people were injured when an Israeli drone fired two missiles at a car in the southern Lebanese village of at-Tiri on Wednesday morning, Lebanon’s health ministry said.
Several schoolchildren were among the injured, according to the state-run National News Agency (NNA), which reported that their bus was moving directly behind the bombed vehicle at the time of the strike. The blast left multiple students and the bus driver wounded.
The strike happened just hours after at least 14 Palestinian civilians were massacred in an Israeli airstrike on an indoor soccer field in the Ein al-Hilweh Palestinian refugee camp in Sidon, southern Lebanon.
The Ein al-Hilweh strike on Tuesday evening followed two earlier Israeli drone attacks in southern Lebanon. Local media said two drones struck separate vehicles in Bint Jbeil and Blida, killing two people.
