WEST BANK, (Palestine Foundation Information Center) The Israeli occupation army demolished on Monday a number of Palestinian commercial facilities near ad-Dhahiriya City, south of al-Khalil province in the West Bank.
According local sources, Israeli forces with bulldozers and heavy machinery stormed the Anab al-Kabira area near al-Ramadin town, south of ad-Dhahiriya, and demolished commercial facilities belonging to the family of Raba.
Several local residents suffered from their exposure to tear gas after Israeli forces attacked them and blocked the road leading to the demolished facilities.
The Israeli army also set up a checkpoint at the main entrance of al-Ramadin town, obstructing the movement of residents by turning back vehicles and preventing entry and exit from the town.
The Israeli army had already notified the family of its intent to demolish these facilities, at the end of this month, but they were taken by surprise when the demolitions were carried out on Monday, ahead of the scheduled date.
In Jenin, the Israeli army delivered illegal construction and stop-work orders against several Palestinian stores and businesses in the Jenin-Nablus street.
Other citizens also received stop-work orders against their property in the area between the Anza junction and the Jaba gas station in southern Jenin.
