The Israeli occupation army carried out a limited incursion into the east of Gaza City on Tuesday morning.
According to local sources, seven bulldozers and two excavators escorted by two tanks advanced from an Israeli military post behind the border fence towards swaths of cultivated land in the east of az-Zeitoun neighborhood.
The heavy machinery embarked on leveling and digging swaths of land, which are located about several meters from the border fence.
Meanwhile, other tanks and military jeeps were seen behind the security fence providing protection for the infiltrating units.
Yesterday, the Israeli army carried out similar incursions into the east of Gaza City and Rafah.
The eastern border areas of Gaza are repeatedly exposed to Israeli military incursions and gunfire attacks, which causes considerable damage to crops and prevents farmers from working their lands.
