WEST BANK(Palestine Foundation Information Center) The Israeli occupation army demolished on Tuesday morning two Palestinian houses under construction in az-Zawiya town, west of Salfit in the West Bank, at the pretext they were built with no permits.
According to local sources, five bulldozers escorted by Israeli forces stormed the town and embarked on knocking down two unfinished homes belonging to local residents.
Eyewitnesses said that Israeli soldiers spread in the eastern area of the town near homes under construction, whose owners already received stop-work and demolition notices from the Israeli army.
Earlier at dawn, Israeli forces raided the house of martyr Muhannad al-Aswad in Idhna town, west of al-Khalil, and took its measurements as a prelude to demolishing it later.
Aswad was martyred after Israeli soldiers encircled a house he was inside last Sunday in al-Khalil, where they showered it with bullets and fired a missile at it before taking his body away.
This came hours after Aswad killed three Israeli police officers after opening fire at a car carrying them near the Idhna-Tarqumiyah junction, east of a military checkpoint between the West Bank and Israel (1948 occupied Palestine).
