GAZA, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), Gaza’s health ministry has accused the Israeli occupation army of allowing the entry of useless goods into the Strip, flooding the markets with them, while preventing the entry of essential medicine and real food.
Munir al-Bursh, director-general of the health ministry, said the Israeli army continues to block shipments of vital medicines into Gaza despite the spread of severe influenza and unprecedented variants.
“The occupation pursues a policy of slow killing against Gaza’s residents, “not with bombs alone, but through calculated and malevolent plots,” Bursh added.
He said that Gaza’s “hospitals have become overcrowded with entire families of patients, amid a continuous and dangerous decline in medical supplies, which limits medical teams’ ability to provide necessary care.”
He also pointed to worsening malnutrition and rising anemia rates among mothers and children, along with an increase in premature births, describing Israel’s measures against the population as a “systematic policy targeting life itself in the Gaza Strip.”
