Israeli forces conduct large-scale arrests in West Bank

WEST BANK, (The Palestine Foundation Pakistan)

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) continued their military campaign across various parts of the West Bank early Friday morning, targeting cities including Tulkarem, Ramallah, Jenin, and Jerusalem.

Several Palestinians were arrested amid escalating raids and assaults by both the Israeli army and settlers.

In Tulkarem Governorate, the IOF arrested four young men.

Meanwhile, Israeli forces escalated their incursions Thursday evening across the West Bank, using live ammunition and tear gas during confrontations that led to additional arrests.

In the village of Al-Mughayyir, east of Ramallah, Israeli forces continued raiding homes, storming dozens of residences and converting a residential building into a military outpost after evicting ten families.

The IOF also raided the home of the village council head, Amin Abu Alia, and forcibly displaced the family of citizen Rasmi Abu Alia.

In Deir Nidham village, also in Ramallah, the IOF imposed a complete lockdown, barring residents from entering or leaving amid ongoing harassment, including repeated raids and property damage.

In Anabta town, east of Tulkarem, the IOF troops stormed the town center and detained several young men before arresting a teenager and later withdrawing from the area.

In Jenin, Israeli military vehicles conducted incursions into the towns of Arraba, Kafr Rai, Fahma, and the Dabous neighborhood of the city. No arrests were reported. In Hizma, east of Occupied Jerusalem, live bullets and tear gas were fired, though no injuries were recorded.

Separately, Israeli settlers attacked the Bedouin community of Shalala al-Auja, north of Jericho, on Thursday evening. They roamed the area provocatively and verbally harassed local residents and international activists, sparking tension in the area, according to the human rights group Al-Baydar.

According to the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, Israeli forces and settlers committed around 2,350 violations during October, 1,584 by the army and 766 by settlers.
