RAMALLAH, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), Israeli occupation forces (IOF) demolished three homes and an agricultural facility in the town of Beit Liqya, west of Ramallah in the central occupied West Bank, on Tuesday amid an increase in demolition operations.
Eyewitnesses reported that IOF soldiers stormed Beit Liqya, accompanied by bulldozers, and demolished three homes and an agricultural facility on the pretext of “building without a permit.”
This coincides with the seventh day of the month of Ramadan in the Palestinian territories, highlighting Israel’s disregard for the sanctity of the fasting month for Muslims.
Various areas of the West Bank have been witnessing repeated demolitions of Palestinian homes and facilities, also under the pretext of “building without a permit.”
According to data from the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, the IOF carried out 59 demolition operations in January, targeting 126 Palestinian structures, including 77 inhabited homes, in addition to issuing 40 demolition notices, most of them concentrated in al-Khalil governorate.
