Lebanon’s state media said early on Thursday that Israeli troops had carried out an incursion into a southern Lebanese town overnight and cold-bloodedly killed a municipal employee who was sleeping in the local town hall.
Israeli forces with military vehicles advanced more than 1,000 meters into Blida town and stormed the municipality building, where they killed an employee, Ibrahim Salameh, who had been sleeping there.
The Israeli incursion continued until 4:00 before the forces withdrew from the town. Later, Lebanese soldiers and civil defense workers entered the building the transported the employee’s body to the hospital.
Lebanese media reported that the Israeli army issued a warning through UNIFIL, calling for the evacuation of the Blida municipality building.
