WEST BANK, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) launched a large-scale arrest campaign in the West Bank last night and at dawn Monday, kidnaping and detaining dozens of Palestinians, including a female journalist.
The arrests were concentrated in al-Khalil governorate, where homes were raided, several residents were detained and interrogated for hours, and dozens of citizens were taken prisoner.
The campaign coincided with violent settler attacks on Palestinian towns last night, during which homes and vehicles were set on fire, and at least 13 Palestinians were injured.
In Jerusalem, the governorate reported that Israeli police forces arrested 12 West Bank workers as they attempted to enter the city near the Atarot industrial zone in the north.
For its part, the Palestinian Prisoner Society said that the IOF kidnaped journalist and writer Lama Khater after raiding her home in the city of al-Khalil.
The IOF also kidnaped two young men from the town of al‑Shuyukh, north of al-Khalil, as well as a young man from Halhul, in addition to others from various neighborhoods of al-Khalil, including those taken from their homes in the Old City and nearby areas.
In Salfit, Israeli forces kidnaped five young men after ransacking their homes in the city.
