OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), Dozens of Jewish settlers stormed the Aqsa Mosque compound on Monday under heavy protection from Israeli police, performing Talmudic rituals in its courtyards.
According to the Jerusalem Governorate, around 80 settlers entered the Mosque during the morning period, in addition to another 350 who entered through the “tourism gate” managed by the Israeli occupation authorities.
Jerusalem-based sources reported that the incursions took place in successive groups through the Moroccan Gate, which is under Israeli security control. The settlers carried out provocative tours in the Mosque compound, accompanied by heavy deployment of Israeli forces.
These incursions are part of an ongoing escalation by settler groups who routinely storm the Aqsa Mosque daily, except on Fridays and Saturdays, in both morning and evening sessions, as part of Israeli efforts to impose a temporal and spatial division of the holy site.
