JENIN,(Palestine Foundation Information Center) Israeli occupation military bulldozers continued for the second day Sunday to raze agricultural land in the village of Raba, east of Jenin, to construct a military road near Jabal al-Masalmeh.
Local sources said the road is being built outside the areas previously marked for seizure, which will cut off access to about 2,200 dunums of farmland located east of the apartheid wall.
The occupation army had earlier notified residents of plans to seize southern and southeastern village lands for a military road and army camp. Raba spans 27,000 dunums and is home to around 5,000 people. In 2003, the Israeli occupation authorities built the annexation wall and expanded illegal settlements on village lands.
This land confiscation comes amid a broader escalation of violence across the West Bank, where the occupation army and settlers have killed at least 992 Palestinians, wounded nearly 7,000, and arrested more than 18,000 since the start of the war on Gaza in October 2023.
