NAZARETH (Palestine Foundation Information Center) An Israeli officer was killed, and five others wounded in a shooting attack in Ashdod on Tuesday, Israeli sources said.
Hebrew media reported that a gunman opened fire on an Israeli police force in “Yavne Ashdod”, killing one of them and wounding the others.
The shooter was also shot dead during the attack, the sources added.
Police said officers were at the scene of the shooting near the Yavne South interchange.
“The attacker was eliminated by a civilian,” Israeli media added.
The recent escalation of anti-occupation operations in the West Bank and in the occupied territories came in protest against the ongoing Israeli genocidal war on the Gaza Strip.
