OCCUPIED JERUSALEM (Palestine Foundation Information Center) The Israeli police forces blocked hundreds of worshipers’ access to the Aqsa Mosque to perform Tarawih prayers on the first night of the holy month of Ramadan.
Eyewitnesses affirmed that “Israeli forces detained a number of worshipers at the gates of the Aqsa Mosque and prevented their access to it.”
According to the sources, the Israeli authorities imposed tight restrictions on youths’ entry into the Mosque, and allowed only women and men over the age of 40 into the site.
Thousands of Palestinians performed Tarawih prayers on Sunday evening in the Aqsa Mosque in Occupied Jerusalem, on the eve of the first day of the holy month of Ramadan.
