Israeli police open fire in Jerusalem, Palestinian youth wounded

OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), A Palestinian teenager was seriously injured on Friday evening when Israeli police forces opened fire at citizens in the town of al‑Eizariya, southeast of Occupied Jerusalem.

The Jerusalem Governorate reported that Israeli police officers from a special unit, traveling in a civilian vehicle, stormed the town and opened heavy fire towards a group of citizens near the Qanater area of al‑Eizariya.

The shooting critically injured 15‑year‑old Mustafa Abu Madkour from Abu Dis, who suffered severe bleeding.

The Governorate noted that Israeli soldiers prevented ambulance crews and local residents from reaching the wounded boy for more than an hour.

Later, an ambulance crew managed to provide the teenager with first aid and transported him to Palestine Hospital in Ramallah, where his condition was described as serious.
