WEST BANK, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) shot and injured a young Palestinian man and arrested several others during widespread overnight raids across various areas of the occupied West Bank early Saturday.
According to local sources, a young man sustained a serious head injury after Israeli forces stormed the town of Qarawat Bani Zeid, northwest of Ramallah, and opened fire at young men. He was transferred to a hospital for treatment.
In the town of Az-Zawiya, west of Salfit, the Israeli forces raided multiple homes, vandalized their contents, broke doors, and smashed a car’s windshield. Sources reported that Israeli forces arrested Mohammad Shuqair, the son of the town’s mayor, after storming his family home.
The soldiers also physically assaulted a local resident who had to be taken to the Az-Zawiya Specialized Medical Center for treatment.
In the southern West Bank, the IOF troops raided the town of Al-Karmel, east of Yatta, and arrested an ex-prisoner after breaking into and searching his house.
The town of Tarqumiyah, west of al-Khalil, was also stormed with live bullets fired, while Israeli forces conducted a pre-dawn incursion into the city of Jericho, though no arrests were reported there.
