QALQILYA (Palestine Foundation Information Center) An Israeli security guard died of a critical injury he sustained in a Palestinian resistance operation near the illegal settlement of Kedumim in the occupied West Bank on Sunday evening.
The Israeli occupation army claimed a Palestinian worker hit the security guard in the head with a hammer critically wounding him before snatching his gun and fleeing the scene in a stolen vehicle.
Social media platforms circulated footage showing the moment when the wounded security guard was evacuated following the incident near the village of Jit, east of Qalqilya.
Following the incident, the Israeli army launched raids in the area and set up multiple checkpoints, while Kedumim settlers were told to remain in their homes and lock their doors.
A few days ago, a Palestinian man was shot dead by extremist Jewish settlers, who attacked the village of Jit near Kedumim settlement, setting fire to houses and cars.
Palestinian health and security sources said that Rashid Sedda, 22, was killed by gunfire from masked settlers and another man was seriously wounded, describing the settler attack as an act of “organized state terrorism.”
The settlers were in full uniform, armed with knives, machine guns and silenced pistols, according to Palestinian security sources.
