WEST BANK, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), A Palestinian youth was injured on Thursday morning after the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) opened fire at him in northern Jerusalem, while settlers simultaneously started establishing a new outpost in southern Jenin.
According to local sources, a young man was wounded by IOF gunfire during his presence near the separation wall in al-Ram town, north of Jerusalem.
Meanwhile, vehicles and trucks carrying extremist Jewish settlers and mobile homes escorted by soldiers stormed the evacuated site of the “Tarsala” outpost near the town of Jaba in southern Jenin.
Local officials warned that government-backed settlers intend to rebuild the Tarsala outpost, which was evacuated in 2005 under the disengagement law.
The site of the outpost sits on elevated terrain overlooking key Palestinian routes connecting Jenin and Nablus.
In May 2025, Israel’s security cabinet approved the reestablishment of several evacuated small settlements, including Tarsala, Sanur, and Homesh.
