RAMALLAH (Palestine Foundation Information Center) Israeli settlers unleashed on Thursday dozens of cows on Palestinian farmlands in Khallet Hamad in Al-Hamma, in the northern Jordan Valley.
Local sources reported that four settlers unleashed a herd of cows near citizens’ tents in the area, adding that they were escorted by a truck carrying equipment to build a settlement pergola, amid concerns among citizens that settlers will build cow pens in the near future.
A settlement outpost was already established in the summer of 2016 in Khallet Hamad where settlers began to close the pastures to Palestinian citizens.
According to the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, in Tubas and the northern Jordan Valley, there are nine settlements, and seven settlement outposts spread over the mountain peaks in Tubas.
In another development, a horde of Israeli settlers attacked a Palestinian vehicle in the town of Yasuf, east of Salfit.
Local sources reported that settlers destroyed the vehicle of the citizen Mujahid Radi Atiani while he was picking olive fruits in the Al-Mahawer area.
The olive harvest season in the West Bank this year is witnessing repeated attacks by Israeli settlers and the occupation forces, including burning and cutting olive trees, stealing the crops, and preventing farmers from reaching their lands.
According to the Commission, since the beginning of 2024, the settlers have committed more than 1,732 attacks on the Palestinians and their property in the West Bank.
Israeli occupation forces along with settlers have carried out since the start of the olive season this year up to October 29, around 239 attacks against Palestinian olive pickers, with 109 cases of denying farmers the right to access their lands.
