Israeli shelling, airstrikes, and demolitions continue in Gaza

GAZA, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), The Israeli occupation forces have committed since early Friday morning ten new violations of the ceasefire agreement intended to end the Israeli genocidal war in the Gaza Strip, local sources reported.

According to the sources, Israeli forces carried out three demolition operations targeting civilian residential buildings in the eastern parts of Gaza City, specifically in the eastern al-Tuffah neighborhood.

In parallel, Israeli warplanes launched at least one airstrike on Gaza City at dawn Friday, coinciding with the detonation of booby-trapped vehicles and armored vehicles near the al-Batesh Cemetery, east of al-Tuffah.

Residents also reported Israeli artillery shelling in the eastern areas of Gaza City and confirmed that Israeli helicopters opened fire toward the city of Rafah in southern Gaza.

In the southern region, Israeli helicopters opened gunfire at the eastern and southern areas of Khan Yunis, alongside two airstrikes targeting the city’s eastern neighborhoods.

Local sources added that Israeli military vehicles opened fire toward eastern Khan Yunis, while Israeli naval gunboats heavily fired machine guns off the coast of the city.

The military operations are part of a continued pattern of Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement, raising growing concerns about their impact on the already dire humanitarian and security situation in Gaza.

On October 9, 2025, Israel and Hamas reached a three-phase ceasefire agreement, mediated by Egypt, Qatar, and Türkiye, and under the sponsorship of US President Donald Trump.

The second phase includes the formation of a temporary technocratic committee to manage the Gaza Strip, oversee reconstruction, establish a Peace Council, deploy an international force, and ensure the further withdrawal of Israeli troops, as well as the disarmament of Hamas.

However, Israel continues to breach the ceasefire. According to Gaza’s Government Media Office, Israel has committed 875 violations, resulting in the killing of 411 Palestinians and injuring 1,112 others.

Since October 7, 2023, Israel, with US backing, has launched a two-year genocide campaign in Gaza, leading to the killing of nearly 71,000 Palestinians, over 171,000 wounded, and massive destruction that has wiped out 90% of the civilian infrastructure.
