RAMALLAH (Palestine Foundation Information Center) An Israeli soldier was injured on Friday after being run over by a vehicle in Ramallah in the occupied West Bank.
An Israeli military statement confirmed the incident, saying: “Reports have just been received of a car ramming in the Rantis area, during which an Israeli soldier was injured and transported for medical treatment.”
The statement did not specify the severity of the soldier’s injuries.
The military further noted: “Forces chased the perpetrator, and details of the incident are under investigation.”
Tensions have been running high across the West Bank since Israel launched a deadly military offensive against the Gaza Strip on Oct. 7, 2023.
At least 543 Palestinians have since been killed and nearly 5,200 others injured by Israeli soldiers and settlers in the West Bank.
