JENIN, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), A Palestinian doctor was shot on Thursday evening by Israeli occupation forces in Jenin, in the northern West Bank, coinciding with settler raids into Aqsa Mosque compound.
Medical sources reported that the doctor was injured in the thigh by live ammunition fired by Israeli soldiers deployed in Jenin refugee camp. He was shot while leaving a funeral home and was later transferred for treatment.
Elsewhere, Israeli forces raided the village of Beitin, northeast of Ramallah, while settlers continued expanding illegal outposts by adding new mobile homes to the settlement built on Mount Sabih, in the town of Beita, south of Nablus.
Since the beginning of the genocidal war on Gaza in October 2023, Israeli forces have intensified their attacks on Palestinians across the West Bank, including Occupied Jerusalem. So far, approximately 1,070 Palestinians have been killed and more than 10,000 injured in the West Bank, according to Palestinian sources. Over 20,000 Palestinians have been also arrested during the same reported period, including 1,600 children.
