JENIN, (The Palestine Information Centre) Massive destruction has affected homes and infrastructure in the Jenin refugee camp during two days of Israeli military aggression, according to an official source.
The Israeli occupation army destroyed about 300 homes and damaged more than 400 others during its two-day assault on the West Bank city of Jenin and its refugee camp, a spokesman for the Jenin municipality Bashir at-Tawahin said in press remarks on Wednesday.
The Israeli aggression also caused severe damage on a large scale to roads, water, sewage, and electricity networks as well as water tanks on rooftops of homes in the city and camp, Tawahin added.
The spokesman affirmed that crews from the municipality started to work as hard as possible to rebuild and repair what was destroyed, but he described the situation as “extremely difficult.”
He appealed to local institutions and the international community to provide every support possible for the reconstruction of Jenin and its camp.
