GAZA(Palestine Foundation Information Center) The Jerusalemite Committee Against Demolition and Displacement has described the Israeli violations happening at the Aqsa Mosque as “unprecedented acts of aggression and terrorism,” warning of a “bleak future” for the holy site.
In a statement on Wednesday, head of the committee Nasser al-Hadmi said that the Israeli occupation’s “crimes against the Aqsa Mosque cannot be seen as separate from its terrorism in Gaza,” adding that the occupation aims to change the holy site’s status quo.
Hadmi also warned that the Israeli government seeks to take complete control of the Aqsa Mosque in order to make the situation explode into further violence.
He expressed his belief that the far-right Israeli parties attempt to take advantage of the current situation in the occupied territories in order to move forwards with their plan to build the alleged temple in place of the Aqsa Mosque.
