BETHLEHEM (Palestine Foundation Information Center) A horde of extremist Jewish settlers destroyed on Saturday morning a number of fruitful trees in Battir town, west of Bethlehem in the occupied West Bank.
A local resident said that a group of settlers infiltrated into his grove in al-Khamar area and chopped down six olive trees and one apple tree after destroying the fence around his land.
He added that it was the third time those settlers attacked his grove, adding that the settlers recently set up an outpost near his land.
Backed by their government and army, armed Jewish settlers have used the war on Gaza to escalate their violence against Palestinian villagers and farmers in the West Bank, especially during the olive harvest season.
