JERICHO (Palestine Foundation Information Center) Jewish settlers raided the Arab al-Malihat community northwest of Jericho, in the southern occupied West Bank, on Tuesday evening.
Hassan Malihat, general supervisor of the Al-Baydar Organization for the Defense of Bedouin Rights and Targeted Villages, reported that several masked settlers, riding their horses, stormed the Arab al-Malihat community northwest of Jericho and searched the sheep pens of some residents.
He noted that this was the second attack of the day, preceded by an attempted run-over of teacher Reem Thabet, a teacher at the Arab al-Ka’abneh Elementary School in al-Mu’arrajat.
During 2024, Israeli settlers committed 2,971 violations against Palestinians and their property in the West Bank, resulting in the deaths of 10 Palestinians and the destruction of more than 14,000 trees, according to data from the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission.
Coinciding with the start of the war of genocide on Gaza, the Israeli forces and settlers expanded their attacks in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, resulting in the killing of more than 947 Palestinians, the injury of approximately 7,000 others, and the arrest of 14,300 others, according to official Palestinian figures.
Since October 7, 2023, the Israeli occupation, with American support, has been committing genocide in Gaza, leaving more than 166,000 Palestinians dead and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 11,000 missing.
