NABLUS (Palestine Foundation Information Center) Armed Jewish settlers attacked the village of Aseera al-Qibliya in southern Nablus on Wednesday, opened live fire at villagers, and set fire to village lands.
Local sources said that settlers from the nearby Yitzhar settlement, established on Palestinian land, attacked the village with gunfire before trying to set a house on fire and then torched swaths of cultivated lands.
In another development, Israeli occupation forces (IOF) delivered stop-construction orders against several houses in Duma, also in southern Nablus, on Wednesday evening.
Suleiman Dawabshe, mayor of the village, said that IOF soldiers stormed the village and handed several citizens stop-work orders. The soldiers then took photos of several houses that were previously notified of demolition.
