Jewish Settlers Set Fire to Palestinian Homes and Vehicles in West Bank

WEST BANK, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), A Jewish settler group set fire on Tuesday evening to Palestinian homes and vehicles in the southern West Bank village of Susya, injuring Palestinian citizens and spreading panic among families.

According to al-Baidar Human Rights Organization, extremist settlers stormed the village of Susya in Masafer Yatta and set five homes ablaze along with several cars belonging to Palestinian citizens, causing extensive material damage and terrorizing the local residents, especially women and children.

Local sources in al-Khalil reported that the settlers also fired tear gas canisters inside some houses, causing suffocation among residents. Surveillance footage captured the moment settlers stormed the village and set homes and cars aflame.

Israel’s public broadcaster aired similar footage showing masked settlers torching Palestinian homes and vehicles in Susya.

Settler assaults also happened in other areas of al-Khalil governorate, where armed settlers chased shepherds from the al-Na’ameen family in the hamlet of Qawawis in Masafer Yatta.

Settlers also released their livestock around and near Palestinian homes in the hamlets of al-Halawa, al-Markaz, and al-Tuwani, and stormed several houses.

Meanwhile, armed settlers gathered near the illegal Asfar settlement in the area of Wadi Sa’ir, north of al-Khalil, blocking the road there and preventing Palestinians from reaching the bypass route.

In the northern West Bank, a horde of settlers stormed the area of Jabel Bir Qouza near Beita town, south of Nablus, in an attempt to attack homes, but local youths managed to fend them off.
