GAZA, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), Jordanian foreign minister Ayman Safadi has warned of focusing on the war on Iran while ignoring the ongoing humanitarian catastrophe in the Gaza Strip.
“Focusing on the war with Iran and its repercussions must not divert our attention from addressing the ongoing humanitarian catastrophe in the Gaza Strip,” Safadi said in a statement on Tuesday.
Safadi emphasized the need to accelerate the implementation of US president Donald Trump’s plan regarding Gaza.
The foreign minister called on the international community to recognize the danger of Israel’s “illegal” measures in the occupied West Bank.
“Israel continues its efforts to annex the West Bank and undermine the prospects for a two‑state solution, which remains the only path to achieving a just and comprehensive peace,” the minister said.
He also warned of the consequences of Israel’s persistence in preventing Muslim worshipers from entering and reaching the Aqsa Mosque during the holy month of Ramadan, considering its recent restrictions on freedom of worship in Occupied Jerusalem a “blatant violation of international law and its obligations as an occupying power.”
