They stated that the United States has no authority to impose Israeli occupation under the name of peace. “Palestine has always belonged to the Palestinians, while Israel is an illegal and usurping state,” they asserted.
The speakers strongly condemned Israel’s aggression on the Sumood Flotilla and urged world governments, particularly Islamic and Arab states, to adopt a joint strategy to defend Gaza and take practical steps to break the siege.
They also termed President Trump’s peace plan as anti-Palestinian and severely criticized Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s reported support for the plan, demanding that he withdraw his statement. Furthermore, they called on the Government of Pakistan to revive the historic stance of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Allama Iqbal in support of the Palestinian cause.
During the protest, participants chanted slogans including “Down with America,” “Down With Israel,” and “Freedom for Palestine.”
Among those present were Abdul Waheed Younas, Yawar Abbas, Ibrahim Chitrali, Ijaz Fazal, Mufti Muhammad Saeed, Nasreen Hussain, Jabeen Alam, Fareed Memon, Qazi Zahid Hussain, and others.
