BEIRUT, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), An Israeli airstrike on Wednesday targeted a car in southern Lebanon, killing one person.
The Lebanese Ministry of Health confirmed the killing of one person after an Israeli drone targeted a vehicle in the town of Al-Zahrani in the south of the country.
According to Lebanese media, an Israeli unmanned aircraft launched an airstrike using two guided missiles, targeting a car on the Al-Zahrani–Al-Msailih road in the Sidon district of southern Lebanon, completely destroying the vehicle, setting it ablaze.
Ambulances and Civil Defense teams rushed immediately to the site of the attack.
This comes as part of ongoing Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement in effect since November 27, 2024.
Israeli violations of the agreement have resulted in hundreds of Lebanese killed and wounded, while Israel continues to occupy five Lebanese hills it seized during the most recent war, in addition to other Lebanese territories it has occupied for decades.
In October 2023, Israel launched an aggression against Lebanon, which it escalated into a full-scale war in September 2024, resulting in the killing of more than 4,000 people and the injury of approximately 17,000 others.
