BEIRUT, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), A Lebanese man was martyred Thursday evening in an Israeli airstrike targeting a vehicle in southern Lebanon, according to Lebanese sources.
Local reports said Israeli warplanes fired three missiles at a car near the entrance to the town of al-Tayri, killing the person inside.
In a statement, the Israeli military said it had targeted a Hezbollah operative in the al-Tayri area but provided no further details.
The strike comes amid continued Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement with Hezbollah, which took effect on 27 November 2024. Lebanese sources say the repeated breaches have resulted in hundreds of people martyred and wounded since the agreement entered into force.
Since the ceasefire began, Israel has carried out dozens of targeted killings and arrests against activists and senior figures affiliated with Hezbollah and al-Jama’a al-Islamiyya, according to local reports.
