WEST BANK (Palestine Foundation Information Center) Mahmoud Mardawi, a leader in Hamas Movement, affirmed that the ongoing resistance in the West Bank sends a strong message to the Israeli occupation that the Palestinian people will confront the crimes of genocide being committed in Gaza, especially in the north, as well as the displacement and settlement projects aimed at annexing the West Bank.
In a press statement on Wednesday, Mardawi praised the courageous youth in the village of Deir Ballut, west of Salfit, for resisting the aggressive Israeli settlers, which resulted in injuries to settlers, one of them critically.
Mardawi pointed out that resistance is the most effective action to deter settlers and the occupation army, calling on all Palestinians in the West Bank, Jerusalem, and the 1948 occupied territories to target settlers and occupation forces, and to confront them at all flashpoints.
The Hamas leader added that the resistance against settler aggression in Salfit comes at a time when the brave resistance in Jenin and its camp is confronting the occupation forces’ aggression, which lasted for over 22 hours.
He confirmed that the resistance in Jenin, with all its military formations, especially the Al-Qassam Brigades, “is still present on the ground defending our people and resisting the crimes and aggression of the occupation”, asserting that it remains steadfast despite all the military campaigns launched by the Israeli occupation’s army.
At the same time, Mardawi called on the Palestinian people, the Arab and Islamic nations, and all free people of the world to continue and escalate solidarity activities, including marches and sit-ins.
