Marouf calls for enforcing Israeli commitments in ceasefire agreement

GAZA (Palestine Foundation Information Center) Salama Marouf, head of the Government Media Office, said that Israel’s refusal to allow the entry of mobile homes and heavy equipment into Gaza Strip is a clear evasion of its commitments and obligations signed under the ceasefire agreement and the attached humanitarian protocol.

Marouf considered this, in a press statement on Sunday, as a clear declaration of Israel’s failure to uphold the agreement, which the resistance has confirmed it will adhere to as long as Israel does. He pointed out that this refusal shows to the entire world who is the party obstructing the agreement, which requires the guarantor mediators to intervene and pressure Israel to fulfill its signed commitments.

He emphasized that the catastrophic living conditions experienced by the people in the Gaza Strip due to the war of extermination and the humanitarian suffering they endure cannot tolerate procrastination, hesitation, or evasion in allowing the entry of all necessities for shelter and other needs.

He called on the mediators and the international community to assume responsibility and respond immediately to the priorities needed in the Gaza Strip, and to put an end to this ongoing suffering by pressuring Israel and obliging it to stop evading its commitments.

According to the Hebrew media, at the end of yesterday’s consultation session, the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu did not agree to allow the entry of caravans and heavy equipment into the Gaza Strip, despite the agreement between Israel and Hamas stating that the entry of supplies and necessary equipment for establishing shelters should be allowed, including at least 60,000 temporary housing units (caravans).

Al-Qassam Brigades released three Israeli prisoners on Saturday after talks with mediators who confirmed Israel’s commitment to fulfilling the obligations of the humanitarian protocol attached to the ceasefire agreement.

In related news, the Palestinian Health Ministry announced the arrival of 7 martyrs to hospitals in the Gaza Strip in the past 24 hours, raising the death toll of the Israeli extermination war to 48,271 martyrs.

The ministry clarified in a statement today, Sunday, that 6 of the martyrs were recovered from under the rubble of destroyed homes, while one citizen died due to his injuries. The health ministry also reported 5 citizens injured by remnants of the occupation army.

It confirmed that there are still many victims under the rubble and in the streets that rescue and civil defense teams cannot reach.
