GAZA,(Palestine Foundation Information Center)The Government Media Office (GMO) announced on Monday evening that the tally of damaged mosques in the Israeli ongoing aggression on the Gaza Strip has reached 192.
The Head of the GMO, Salama Marouf, said in a press conference that “192 mosques have been damaged due to the Israeli continuous attacks, with 56 of which completely destroyed.”
“Three churches have been targeted as well,” he added.
Marouf confirmed that 192 casualties were recorded in lines of the medical and health personnel. Meanwhile, about 32 ambulances were destroyed, 113 health facilities were severely damaged, and 16 hospitals and 32 medical centers were knocked out of service.
“Around 222,000 housing units were demolished, with 10,000 buildings and 40,000 houses completely destroyed,” Marouf said.
He explained that the “Israeli occupation army has caused damage to 222 schools by relentless bombardment, knocking out 60 schools out of service and destroying 88 government facilities since the start of the Israeli aggression on the besieged enclave.”
He pointed out that the Israeli occupation army has repeatedly targeted government workers and journalists, as 47 pressmen, 53 Imams and preachers, and 18 civil defense and rescue personnel were killed in the ongoing aggression.
For 31 consecutive days, Israel has been launching a destructive war on Gaza, claiming the lives of 10,000 Palestinians, and injuring 22,000 others including 4,104 children and 2,641 women. Over 24,000 Gazans have been injured in addition to the killing of 160 Palestinians and the arrest of 2,150 others in the West Bank, according to official Palestinian sources.
