BEIRUT (Palestine Foundation Information Center) Israeli occupation forces continued their bloody military aggression against Lebanon for the 32nd consecutive day on Friday, conducting airstrikes and intensive artillery shelling on various regions of the country, along with a ground incursion into some villages in southern Lebanon, facing fierce resistance from the Islamic resistance.
The Lebanese Ministry of Health announced the martyrdom of 3 journalists and the injury of 3 others as a result of the Israeli airstrike targeting their residence in Hasbaya.
Media sources reported that the martyrs included journalist Ghassan Najjar, a correspondent for Al-Mayadeen channel, broadcast engineer Mohammed Reda, and photographer Wissam Qassem from Al-Manar channel.
Israeli assaults on the villages of Tyre and Bint Jbeil continued since midnight, with Israeli warplanes attacking the town of Ma’arakeh, resulting in injuries to several citizens who were transferred to hospitals in Tyre.
The Israeli aircraft also bombed the outskirts of the towns of Tora, Sharafiyat, Mansouri, Bazouriya, Tayr Debba, and Al-Burj Al-Shimali. At night, the towns of Aita al-Shaab, Ramyah, and Al-Qawzah were targeted by artillery shells that contained white phosphorus. In the early morning, Israeli artillery shelled the towns of Maroun al-Ras and the city of Bint Jbeil.
Nine Lebanese were martyred, and others were injured in Israeli airstrikes on southern and eastern Lebanon. The Lebanese news agency reported that Israeli aircraft launched an airstrike on a house in the town of Halaniya, located in Baalbek, eastern Lebanon, resulting in the martyrdom of five and several injuries.
The Israeli aerial aggression on the town of Kfar Tabnit in southern Lebanon also led to the death of 4 citizens. Meanwhile, Israeli aircraft carried out a series of successive airstrikes on the town of Kfar Shuba, the valley of Shebaa, and the towns of Tayr Harfa and Al-Jabin, alongside artillery shelling targeting the town of Al-Khiam in southern Lebanon.
Israeli warplanes carried out about four airstrikes on the southern suburb of Beirut. The Lebanese Ministry of Health announced the martyrdom of 28 people and the injury of 139 others in Thursday evening airstrikes on the governorates of Nabatieh, the South, and Baalbek-Hermel in southern and eastern Lebanon.
The ministry said that the Israeli aggression has resulted in over 2,593 martyrs and 12,119 injuries since the start of the aggression on October 8, 2023. Official Lebanese data indicated that the aggression has caused the displacement of more than 1,340,000 citizens from various areas, particularly southern Lebanon.
