NABLUS (Palestine Foundation Information Center) Specialized institutions concerned with prisoner affairs confirmed on Saturday the martyrdom of prisoner Walid Khalifa (30 years old) in Israeli occupation prisons, two days after the raid on his family’s home, during which he was shot and arrested in the Ein refugee camp in Nablus.
The prisoner institutions said, “Khalifa’s martyrdom was confirmed after the raid on his family home last Thursday, during which he was shot and arrested. It is worth noting that he is the brother of martyr Amir Khalifa and the brother of administrative detainee Khaled Khalifa.”
The occupation army committed a compounded crime against him by shooting him directly with the intent to execute him during the raid on his family home in Ein Camp. The nature of his injuries was unknown at the time, but later information reached his family confirming his martyrdom, and they were officially notified afterward.
According to his family, the occupation army took Walid from the house while he was injured, transferring him on a stretcher for wounded individuals. Walid was reportedly screaming and calling for his family at the moment of his arrest, indicating that he was conscious at the time of his injury and arrest.
This new crime is part of the ongoing targeting of the Khalifa family since the assassination of his brother Amir in August 2023 and the administrative detention of his brother Khaled for several months.
Martyr Walid Khalifa is a father of four children (two daughters and two sons), one of whom is just one month old. His murder adds to the long record of crimes committed by Israel over decades, which has reached its peak with the ongoing genocide in the Gaza Strip, alongside the comprehensive aggression in the West Bank and all Palestinian territories, as well as against prisoners.
