CAIRO, (Palestine Foundation Information Center)The head of Hamas’s foreign political bureau Khaled Mishaal said that the Palestinian freed prisoners moved from the custody stage to a new stage of defending the Palestinian cause.
During his speech at the festival honoring the recently released prisoners in Cairo, Mishaal congratulated the liberated prisoners deported to Egypt on their release from the Israeli prison, stressing that their liberation came thanks to the sacrifices of the martyrs and the steadfastness of Gaza people.
“This achievement would not have been possible without the sacrifices of the martyrs who fell for the sake of freedom, and the leaders of the resistance, most notably the leaders of the Hamas Movement Ismail Haneyya, Yahya Sinwar, and Saleh al-Arouri”
Mishaal hailed the role of the Gaza Strip in liberating the prisoners, describing the battle of the Al-Aqsa Flood as “the earthquake that swept the region and gave life to humanity,” stressing that “Gaza changed many concepts and sent a spirit of hope on the path to liberation.”
For his part, the head of the Hamas Shura council Mohammed Darwish confirmed that the Al-Aqsa Flood broke the myth of the Israeli occupation that lasted for 76 years and returned the Palestinian cause to the forefront of global attention.
Darwish stressed that “the steadfastness of our people in the Gaza Strip made them a global icon of defiance and resistance.”
Darwish also hailed all those who contributed to achieving this victory.
He pointed out that the Israeli occupation tried to exterminate the Palestinian people in Gaza.
“However, the result was 15 months of steadfastness, defiance, and endless giving from our people in Gaza, the West Bank, and everywhere,” he said.
