GAZA(Palestine Foundation Information Center)Head of Hamas’s political bureau Khaled Mishaal has affirmed that Israel’s escalation of its violations and Judaization plans in Occupied Jerusalem and at the Aqsa Mosque were the main motive for the events on October 7.
Addressing a conference held on Friday by the International Islamic Forum of Parliamentarians, Mishaal said that the suffering of over 5,000 Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails, 17 years of blockade on Gaza, the ongoing Israeli occupation of the Palestinian land and settlement expansion also paved the way to the launch of Operation “Al-Aqsa Flood.”
Mishaal also said that the improvement of the resistance’s capabilities and war experience encouraged it to take such a big step on the path of the Palestinian people’s long struggle for the liberation of their land.
The Hamas leader criticized the Arab leaders for their ineffectiveness in addressing the growing Israeli violations and crimes against the Palestinian people since the Arab peace initiative.
“If the Algerians, Afghans and Vietnamese had listened to those who advocate for defeatism and call upon us to surrender, Algeria, Afghanistan and Vietnam would not have been liberated from colonialism and occupation,” the Hamas leader underlined.
He expressed his belief that the Israeli occupation army sustained a psychological, military, and intelligence defeat during the Al-Aqsa Flood battle.
“The occupation showed its true colors and barbaric nature when it turned into a raging beast killing innocent people and bombing schools, hospitals, mosques, churches and all necessities of life in our beloved Gaza Strip,” he said.
