OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), Several Moroccan cities witnessed rallies on Friday, the first day of Eid al‑Fitr, condemning Israel’s ongoing closure of the Aqsa Mosque in Occupied Jerusalem.
The demonstrations were organized in different Moroccan cities and towns, including M’diq, Mechra Bel Ksiri, Marrakesh, Meknes, Rabat, and Agadir.
Participants carried images of the Aqsa Mosque and Palestinian flags, while chanting slogans in support of the Palestinian cause and resistance.
The Israeli police prevented the Eid prayer at the Aqsa Mosque on Friday for the first time since the occupation of east Jerusalem in 1967.
Despite condemnations from Arab and Islamic countries, the Israeli occupation regime persists in closing the Mosque to Muslim worshipers.
Israel had closed the Aqsa Mosque entirely, citing a ban on gatherings, since the start of the Zio-American aggression against Iran on February 28.
