Nakba is still going on, Joint efforts can protect human rights and humanity.

Karachi  (Palestine Foundation Information Center)  On the occasion of the 76th anniversary of Nakba Day of the Palestinian people, a seminar was organized on Thursday by the English Department of the National University of Modern Languages (NUML) Karachi on the subject of human rights protection challenges and prospects.
The seminar was chaired by the regional director of NUML Karachi and also addressed by Brigadier (retd) Ali Haider Kazmi, International Relations Specialist Dr. Khalida Ghous, and Secretary General of Palestine Foundation Pakistan Dr. Sabir Abu Maryam, while a large number of students were present in the seminar.
On this occasion, Assistant Director NUML Adnan Siddiqui, Dr. Shehla Anwar of the English Department, Madad Ali, Dr. Fazli Hussain, Dr. Asim, Dr. Nabil Ahmed, Bilal Sialvi, Hasan Ahmed, Salman Anis, Nimra Naveed, Shehla Qasim, Summayya Hashmi, Aliza Ahmed, Sabeen Khan and others were present.
Brigadier (retd) Ali Haider Kazmi while addressing the Human Rights Seminar organized on the 76th anniversary of the Palestinian’s Nakba Day and establishment of the Zionist state of Israel and the ongoing human rights violations against the Palestinian people, said that the protection of human rights is an obligatory duty for everyone and joint effort will have to be made for it. Human rights are being violated all over the world including Palestine and Kashmir. The International Community has failed to protect human rights.
Addressing the seminar, Dr. Khalida Ghous said that the worst violation of human rights is taking place all over the world. The international community has failed in diplomacy. She said that the theory of human rights is being flouted. She called the arrest of students and teachers who support Palestine in American universities a serious violation of human rights. She further said that there should be seminars and discussion programs on global issues in the universities of Pakistan, as it increases the mental abilities of young students.

Speaking at the event, Palestine Foundation Pakistan Secretary General Dr. Sabir Abu Maryam said that today we are commemorating the Nakba. The Nakba is a great disaster for the Palestinians, but the Palestinian people still want to return to their homeland and we support their right to return. He said that neo-colonial powers like America, Britain, and France created problems like Palestine and Kashmir to maintain their dominance over the entire Asian countries. He said that the issue of Palestine is a humanitarian issue and humanity is being killed, we have to play our role to protect humanity and human rights.
On this occasion, the Regional Director also presented honorary shields to the guests on behalf of NUML Karachi.
